Our Founder
Julian W. Jarrett is a Howard University Honors Finance student from Birmingham, Alabama, whose work sits at the intersection of educational access, leadership, service, and collective advancement. As Founder & Executive Director of The Juventas Foundation, Julian established the organization from a belief that opportunity, mentorship, and financial support should be intentionally extended forward to the next generation of young Black scholars navigating higher education.
At Howard University, Julian has remained deeply engaged in student leadership, governance, and community impact, serving within the Howard University Student Association Senate while advocating for equitable funding, institutional support, and meaningful investment in student organizations and initiatives across campus. His leadership experiences, combined with his passion for scholarship and service, have shaped his broader commitment to creating pathways for young Black students to access opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
Driven by both personal experience and an awareness of the barriers that continue to impact young Black students within higher education, Julian created The Juventas Foundation as more than a scholarship initiative. The Foundation was built as a long-term investment in visibility, mentorship, educational advancement, and leadership development — rooted in the belief that true success is measured not only by personal achievement, but by the willingness to uplift others along the way.
Through initiatives such as the Elevare Vir Scholarship and the Promissum 1867 Scholarship, his mission is to cultivate a generation of scholars whose impact extends far beyond themselves and into the communities they represent.
